Julia M. Fuentes
PHR, CELS
Julia M. Fuentes is Director of Operations – Affirmative Action Solutions for Peopleclick, Inc. at the New Orleans office. Mrs. Fuentes is primarily responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the office as well as preparing affirmative action plans, assisting clients through OFCCP compliance reviews, and offering technical assistance both to clients and internal customers. She has also trained clients as well as been invited to speak at conferences such as the AAAA where she presented “How to Survive on OFCCP Audit” and made presentations to both the Human Resource Management Association of New Orleans’ chapter on “The Revised EEO-1 Report” as well as the Greater Baton Rouge SHRM chapter on “EEOC and OFCCP Updates.”
Her interests also include organizing internal diversity training as well as coordinating outreach projects for various organizations such as Start the Adventure in Reading program for elementary school children, Angel Tree program, Ronald McDonald House, Children’s Hospital, and Junior Achievement. These efforts have resulted in Peopleclick’s New Orleans office being awarded the Community Service Award by the American Association for Affirmative Action in 2007.
Mrs. Fuentes has been working in the Affirmative Action industry since 1995 when she joined Optimum. She has been employed with Peopleclick since Optimum’s acquisition in 2001. Her prior work experience includes working for Sears Regional Credit Card Operation Center where she was the Supervisor of Customer Service Training. In that role she conducted new employee and customer service training, new-employee orientation, and assisted Human Resources in interviewing applicants.
Mrs. Fuentes is a graduate of University of New Orleans where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in General Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration. She also holds a Professional in Human Resources certification from the Society of Human Resource Management and is a Certified Employment Law Specialist from Columbia Southern University.
Memberships in professional organizations include the Louisiana Liaison Group where she served in 2007 as President and has been re-elected President for 2008; Society for Human Resource Management; Human Resource Management Association of Greater New Orleans, where she has served as the Diversity Board Member since 2007; and American Association for Affirmative Action where she holds the position of Louisiana Coordinator.
